Biography

Scott Wong is a now a Senior Congressional Reporter at NBC News and was previously a senior staff writer for The Hill, where he covers Capitol Hill. Before joining The Hill in 2014, he spent four years at Politico, where he covered the Senate and wrote a tipsheet on Congress called The Huddle. He got his professional start in journalism covering local government for two small newspapers in his native San Francisco Bay Area. He later wrote for The Arizona Republic, including stints covering the statehouse and Phoenix City Hall.

A graduate of UCLA, he is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association, and lives with his wife and two daughters in Washington, D.C.
