Biography

Catalina Camia is editor and vice president of CQ Roll Call, an information and media company that provides news, policy analyses, and legislative tracking tools for its subscribers. As the top newsroom leader, she manages 50 journalists writing about Congress and the federal government with a focus on public policy.

Camia joined CQ Roll Call in 2015 as a senior editor, responsible for policy coverage on topics such as lobbying and influence; immigration; homeland security; legal affairs; and the Supreme Court. CQ Roll Call is a part of the FiscalNote family, a technology innovator at the intersection of business and government.

Prior to joining CQ Roll Call, Camia was a national political correspondent for USA TODAY and the anchor of its OnPolitics blog. At USA TODAY, Camia was co-director of 2008 presidential campaign coverage and an assignment editor focused on the 2006 and 2010 congressional elections. She has also been an editor overseeing coverage of campaign finance, economics, the White House, and NASA. Camia previously covered Congress for The Dallas Morning News and got her start in Washington as an environmental policy reporter for CQ. She is a former national president of the Asian American Journalists Association and UNITY: Journalists of Color. Camia is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
