Biography
Anushka is currently a senior social strategy editor at The New York Times, where she edits breaking news and long-form international stories for social platforms. She has also reported on the Ukraine war as part of the Times’s live coverage.
Both her editorial and strategy work have focused on reaching new and underserved readers. She was previously at a news curation editor at BuzzFeed News, where she ran social accounts, homepage programming and push alerts. She studied journalism at Northwestern University and was a fellow at the Knight Lab, which works with journalists, developers and designers to build tools for reporting and research.
